    Hello Book club members!

I just wanted to welcome you to AVETRA's new book club reading group!

I have not got around to writing about our current book 'Pedagogy of the oppressed' just yet, but I plan to do so in the very near future. Please feel free to add something to this forum if you have been reading the book. One of the first things you may notice about this book is that it is deceptively small.  It is such a dense book that I feel that when I open it,  it is a bit like stepping through the looking glass - and much larger than first anticipated!

This is possibly why I have not got around to writing yet. As a suggestion, we might like to focus on one chapter of the book for the time. Any suggestions?

We also need to secure a date for our OctoberVET meeting and make a decision on the next book. Suggestions welcome for this too. Ideally, it should be a seminal text of relevance to VET researchers. One of the main aims of this book club is to encourage and support new VET researchers, so with that in mind, suggest away!

I'll be back here soon for more! Take care and I hope to read your first post very soon!

    Cheerio!
