Tuesday 12 November 10:00 – 11:30 AM AEDT

Enabling Innovation in VET
Innovation can take many forms in vocational education and training, from the introduction of pioneering approaches and practices in polices, systems, programs and curricula, teaching and training methods, and tools. It results in teachers, trainers and learners being equipped with the knowledge, attitudes, skills and qualifications needed to cope with technological, cultural, economic and demographic change.

This webinar will feature a panel of speakers from Europe and Australia to reflect on their own experiences in vocational education and training to discuss:

  • What innovation means to them and their organisations
  • The drivers and barriers of innovation in VET
  • The critical role of industry and educational partnerships in supporting innovation
  • The role that individuals, organisations and governments can play in enabling innovation in VET.

Host:
Elizabeth Toy, Manager Policy and Quality, Victorian Skills Authority

Panel:

  • Professor Jose Ramon Gomez Laconcha, Executive Director of iTlent (the Basque Country Institute for Talent in VET Euskadi)
  • Natalia Gaston Estanga, researcher at iTlent
