World Education Research Association (WERA) Focal Meeting

WERA is an association of major national, regional, and specialty education research associations dedicated to sharing scholarship, developing networks, and mutually supporting capacity building.

The WERA 2019 Focal Meeting is an integral part of the annual conference of the Japanese Educational Research Association (JERA) and consists of a program of paper, symposia, and poster sessions on topics of worldwide emphases and significance. WERA Focal Meetings are embedded in the conference of a WERA member association.

The Call for Submissions is posted on the WERA 2019 Focal Meeting website ( We hope that you will join us at the WERA Focal Meeting, and invite you to submit an abstract for a paper, poster, or a symposium for the meeting. We also seek your help in disseminating this Call widely to other networks of scholars in your country, region, or area of research. You may want to include the WERA 2019 Focal Meeting website ( since the online submission system and Call are available there.

VET/Adult Ed/FE Focused Conference 2018

Conference theme: Research in Post-compulsory Education

This international conference aims to bring together researchers and practitioners in post-compulsory education from many different countries. It provides an opportunity for participants to spend 3 days in inspirational surroundings sharing ideas and projects with like minded people. The ARPCE committee is keen to attract early career researchers, those with teaching or professional roles in post-compulsory education, as well as established researchers and journal contributors.

Contributions on any aspect of post-compulsory education are very welcome, including professional education, adult learning, further and higher education, work based learning, community education. Presenters may focus upon theory, practice, or methodology, and be prepared to share their work in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Conference Paper abstracts up to 250 words should be submitted via the ARPCE website (link below). Alternatively there will be an opportunity to submit a Conference Poster. All proposals will be reviewed by the ARPCE Committee. Accepted papers will be allocated a 40 minute session. Presenters will be allowed 15 minutes to summarise their paper and the balance of time will be open for discussion of the paper.

World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) 2018 World Congress

The Call for Speaker Proposals is now open for the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) 2018 World Congress. The Congress will be held in Melbourne, Australia from 8-10 October 2018 and is expected to attract over 700 delegates. The 2018 Congress theme, Preparing for the Skills Future, Now will make a difference to the outcomes of millions of vocational and professional students world-wide.

Leaders and practitioners from around the world of Professional and Technical Education and Training, including international experts, institute leaders, board members, senior managers, emerging leaders, teaching staff, business development managers, policy makers, government officials, researchers, and industry representatives are now invited to submit a speaker proposal.
